Scott Shattuck is a tenured professor of theatre at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA). He is co-author of the textbook "The Director's Vision" (2nd edition). From 2016-20 he served as associate dean of SFA's College of Fine Arts, after serving for nine years as director of its School of Theatre. He was formerly producing artistic director of Jean Cocteau Repertory, head of the Theatre & Media Program at Marymount College of Fordham University, and chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Dickinson College. He holds an MFA degree in Drama from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society.
