About Jessica López-Barkl
Jessica López-Barkl is a founding member of In Strange Company and is currently the Associate Professor of Theater and Speech/Theater Program Director at SUNY Sullivan. She is also a freelance actor, director, dramaturg, playwright, and designer. Recent directing includes the world premiere of the first play about neurofibromatosis, THANK YOU / I’M SORRY, the Golden Age of Spain play WILD THING/LA SERRANA DE LA VERA, and the musical SPRING AWAKENING. Recent acting includes NEXT TO NORMAL as Diana, ROSEMARY WITH GINGER as Ginger, and in DREAM ON THE FARM as Dolly "DD" Dandelion. Her acting, directing, dramaturgy, design, and playwriting have been seen in theaters in NYC, Seattle, WA; Rowayton, CT; Albuquerque, NM; Boulder, CO; Coeur d'Alene, ID; Damascus, PA; Highland Lake, NY; and Sarah Lawrence College.
