Project-Based Grant Application

These monies are available to casts seeking to increase the presence of theatre on their campus or within their community. Projects should emphasize long-term growth and the ongoing health of theatrical activity on campus. Special consideration will be given to those proposals that demonstrate financial support from their institution or other sources of funding.

Eligibility

  • Available to casts in good standing once every three years
  • Annual deadline is January 20th
  • If the chapter’s Project-Based Grant proposal is accepted, the waiting period to apply for another is three academic school years.

Applications (2500 word max) should feature:

  • a short summary of the proposal (approx. 150 word)
  • Statement about the chapter’s history and role on campus (approx. 300 words)
  • Need statement (approx. 500 words)
  • Proposed use of funds (approx. 500 words)
  • Impact statement (approx. 300 words)
  • Timeline (approx. 250 words)
  • Proposed budget including a breakdown of funding previously granted or being sought from other sources

Applications (maximum 2,500 words) should include a brief summary of the proposal (approximately 150 words); a statement outlining the chapter’s history and role on campus (approximately 300 words); a need statement (approximately 500 words); a description of the proposed use of funds (approximately 500 words); an impact statement (approximately 300 words); a projected timeline (approximately 250 words); and a detailed budget that includes any funding already received or being sought from other sources.
