Welcome to the Chapter Business page! Here, you’ll find important information about the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of managing your Alpha Psi Omega (ΑΨΩ) / Delta Psi Omega (ΔΨΩ) chapter. From conducting inductions to holding regular meetings and fulfilling your annual responsibilities, this page will ensure your chapter runs smoothly and stays engaged with the national organization.
Reporting New Inductees
Induction reports are submitted digitally through the membership platform.
How It Works:
- Chapter advisors log in to create an inductee class.
- New members confirm their intent to join through the platform.
- An invoice for membership dues is issued to the chapter.
- Once dues are paid, inductees gain full membership status following an induction ceremony. At this time, Chapter Advisors should elevate their status in the system from Inductee to Member.
Chapter Meetings
Active chapters should hold regular meetings to maintain communication and encourage engagement. This includes:
- Local Executive Committee Meetings: These meetings ensure the chapter’s leadership team is aligned on goals, plans, and responsibilities.
- Full Chapter Meetings: Regular full-chapter meetings foster community, collaboration, and participation among all members.
Annual Responsibilities
To remain active and vibrant, chapters should:
- Hold Regular Inductions: Inductions must occur at least once every two years.
- Nominate Students for Scholarships: Chapters are encouraged to nominate outstanding members for national scholarships. Either the Chapter Advisor or the chapter itself can nominate a student.
- Apply for Grants: The National Office offers grants to support chapter initiatives. A schedule and application guidelines are available on the website.
- Submit to the Annual Playbill: Showcase your chapter’s accomplishments and productions by contributing to the annual Playbill publication.
- Consider Attending the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC): Join Alpha Psi Omega/Delta Psi Omega at the annual meeting held during SETC to network, share ideas, and strengthen ties with the national organization.
