Honor Cords?

HI!

I am a member of Beta Pi cast at William Jewell College. We are working on getting our chapter re-activated and back on its feet, and I have a question for people who have been in APO awhile. Our college allows us to wear honor cords from our honoray organizations at graduation. Are there honor cords for APO, and if not, is there any rule that says we can't make them?

APO National doesn't sell honor cords: as with many other things, its a local project to either find a manufacturer or to make them.

Several chapters I've known have purchased blue and gold
cord in four or five foot legnths, put a matching tassel on each end and then tied one cord of each color together with an overhand knot, a little off-center (so the knot won't press directly on the veterbrae when you wear them).

The result is four tassel-ended cords, one of each color on each side.

Alternatively you can contact one of the academic regalia manufacturers to produce them for you. The home mades
cost about $12. a set plus your time.

Contact James Fisher the National Business Manager he will send you the information for the company that sells they...They are light blue and amber. Peace Justin 8)
