New Regional Organization
03/11/03 at 14:11:36

It's official! As of last Saturday Alpha Psi Omega now has the beginnings of a regional organization. Paul Opp and the other founders were dreaming of this set up ages ago, and the possibility's been in the National Constitution since Noah was a Sea-Scout. The Northeast has come close to bringing one to life before: our most recent incarnation is the result of a lot of hard work centered around the Delta Xi Cast at Rensallaer Polytech who got these pages up and running and who pulled off the first Regional Conference since 1954.

Now what we need is communication, and lots of it. I'm the
Region III National Rep - which is a title without content
unless we get to talking.

To begin with, I need to hear from our active members and chapters, advisors and alumni: I need current and backup contact information - mail and e-mail - from everyone who wants to make their home chapter stronger and see the new region become something helpful/useful/supportive/empowering.

And then I need to hear about people and places who could do with some information from and about Alpha Psi Omega and Delta Psi Omega: are you thinking about (re)establishing a chapter? Is there a professor or administrator who needs convincing? A school nearby without a chapter that your own gang could help mentor?

There's time to do some preliminary work this semester - drop me a line or an e-mail and let's see what we can do!

Best Always,

Now and Forever!

Hi my name is Candice Fisher and I'm a member of the APO at Edinboro University of PA (Gamma Kappa cast).

Our email is either/or eupapo@hotmail.com or eupapo@yahoo.com

Our current president's name is Jessi Surdyk, and she may have changed the email, so you're probably better off if you try both  Smiley

I am an Alpha Psi Omega alumni from Alabama trying to start a new chapter at Suffolk University in Boston, MA.  I work for the theatre department there now.  Any help you could provide would be great.  I am having James F. send info to help get things rolling, etc, but anything else would be much appreciated!

Hi! I'm the Vice President of the Upsilon Chi cast at St. John's University in Jamaica, NY! I would definitely like my cast to be involved in the regional organization as possible. We haven't been an extremely involved organization in the past, but with the installation of the new e-board many new ideas have been brought up and we are planning to increase our activity x 10 in the upcoming year! Please contact us!  Wink

Hi Everyone!

I'm the Vice President and Producer of the Chi Iota Cast at Bentley College in Waltham, MA (just outside of Boston).  We've been treading water for quite some time now, and I think a fantastic next step for us would be to get involved with some of the regional casts.  We’ve yet to be able to attend a regional conference because they always conflict with our productions, but I hope that can change.  Everyone is welcome to contact me to get acquainted.

Cheers!

I don't know if this subject is still active, but I am an alumni from Palm Beach Atlantic College (West Palm Beach, Florida) - Chi Nu Cast. . .I live in NYC and would love to help in a cast around the area.  Please let me know who I can contact or what I may do to help.

Hey Everyone,

I'm Danny from Albright College in Reading, PA.  I'm trying to start a chapter at Albright before I graduate this May.  Our region really needs a regional festival or some sort of conference.  It's the only way to connect with other chapters and share ideas.
